Joyce Jester Joyce Jester’s career at Remy has covered a broad scope of the business. Starting as a financial analyst, Joyce has held positions in lean organization training and implementation, material flow and control, production readiness, and, now, supply chain initiatives.

In fact, each of her positions has flowed naturally into the next one as she’s expanded her knowledge base of the company and industry. “The knowledge I gained in one role helped me be successful in the next one.”

While Joyce’s experience has been broad, each position has afforded her an in-depth look at the business. “In each area, I’ve learned what’s required, how that area interfaces with others, and how X in one area affects Y in another.”

For example, in the production readiness role, Joyce was responsible for mediating parts, engineering, manufacturing, quality and purchasing—across the teams and geographic boundaries of Mexico, Poland, Korea and Hungary. She learned about all that went into getting a product delivered to customers and then helped develop standard operating procedures and key performance indicators.

The thing Joyce appreciates most about Remy is the opportunity to make a difference. “In each of the roles I’ve held, I’ve really felt like I was touching the end product—doing something that impacted the final product, delivery or impression that was made.”

Whether fielding materials problems or working with suppliers, Joyce says her career at Remy has been shaped by different opportunities that have given her exposure and experiences. “I really feel like every Remy employee has the opportunity to determine their future with this company,” she says. “If you work hard and put forth your best efforts, you will be rewarded.”
