Improving Alternator Efficiency Measurably Reduces Fuel Costs
With today’s fluctuating gas prices, everyone is looking for ways to save money on fuel. And Remy’s high efficiency alternator can help you do just that. There are power losses associated with every energy conversion process—including the alternator. These losses and, consequently, efficiency are dependent upon a number of factors, including engine speed and mechanical load. Losses result in more fuel being consumed to produce a given amount of electrical power. As an alternator becomes more efficient in converting mechanical power into electrical power, less fuel is consumed.
