Remy's BAS Platform
Remy’s Belt Alternator System (BAS) is one of the most cost effective ways to enter the hybrid market. Commonly known as “start/stop” hybrid technology, the BAS system is a motor/generator that drives the engine via a belt. It enables the engine to be turned off when a vehicle is at rest, like at a stoplight, and then easily restarted when the accelerator pedal is depressed—all the while conserving fuel and helping the environment.
BAS provides fuel economy and emission improvements wihtout a major drive train redesign.
